A moisture cured damp sealant, hard wearing concrete floor seal. When sheathing boat hulls, G4 is used as a bonding primer between the polyester resin and the wood and/or metal. The hull should be dry and down to the bare wood or metal, apply the G4, and leave until finger tacky (but no longer than 4 hours), then the GRP laminate can be applied.
Consumption is approximately 200g/sq mt on wood and 165g/sq mt on metal.
G4 is recommended by all the major polyester resin manufactures as a bonding primer between polyester resin (G.R.P.) and materials such as wood, metal and concrete. It is widely used by roofing contractors when applying glass fibre roofs. Brush on a coat of G4 to the clean base substrate. As soon as it is finger tacky but within 4 hours apply the polyester resin and glass fibre (G.R.P) laminate.
G4 is also using for sealing damp out from concrete, stone, brick and wood with a hard wearing, non-porous, flexible plastic coating. It can be applied in high humidity environments and in conditions as low as 0°. For a sealer three coats is the recommended amount, 1Kg will offer a coverage of approx 2m² at three coats.
