Llewellyn Ryland Pigment for Polyurethane Systems (Polyether Polyol Colour Pigment)
Designed as a colouring medium for polyurethane systems, including rubber casting, liquid plastics and expanding polyurethane foams.
Characteristics
Llewellyn Ryland PTH dispersions are coloured liquid / paste mediums based on pigments dispersed in Polyether polyol. All PTH dispersions have a high degree of grinding and stability.
Application
Llewellyn Ryland state of the art colour matching capability ensures a high degree of colour matching consistency batch after batch. PTH dispersions are generally used in polyurethane systems. The level of dispersion used is dependent on the final saturation of colour required. Levels above 10% are not normally used and where higher levels are required evaluation of plasticizing effects must be determined. PTH dispersions have a higher tendency to show greater compatibility over DOP dispersions with the mother system.
Always perform tests to ensure the PTH pigment is compatible with your polyurethane system, different systems will have varied degrees of tolerance for pigmentation.
