Using this kit you can just about cast any original part including figures, small sculptures, figurines, scenario models or even engineering components or use them to create just about anything required in the moulding making industry, engineers can use the process as part of their rapid prototyping work whilst artists can easily make copies of their original work as samples or demonstration pieces.

With the original part removed from the silicone the mould can then be used to create accurate and detailed reproductions of the original part by pouring mixed casting resin into the mould. The resin included in the kit is a very easy to use Fast Cast polyurethane resin which will flow easily into the fine surface details of the silicone mould and then cure quickly (within an hour) to a strong plastic copy of the original part.

High strength silicone mould making rubber. Our silicone has been formulated for easy mixing by hand, with colour coded components, giving a visual aid to ensure mixing is adequate. The two components mix easily and because of the low viscosity most grades can be used without processing in a vacuum chamber. This silicone is suited for the detailed reproduction of figures, art objects and similar items.

Applications include : Patterns, Negatives, Castings, Models, Vacuum forming tools, prototypes etc.

As always MB has such a good customer service, i was advised to get this to use for my small moulds and casts, mostly fridge magnets, poured the silicone first night i got the delivery and made my mould, poured the resin the next night and boom replica parts in minutes, but i did have to purchase scales for the mixing bit, but again i was advised to get a small set, thanks guys
