This silicone catalyst is designed for use with our general purpose rtv silicone GP-3481 base.
- Red silicone catalyst is by far the most popular catalyst to use with the GP-3481-F silicone, it gives great air release with longer working and demould times.
- Clear catalyst is used when pigments are required, when mixing pigments into a white silicone base it can result in lighter shades of the colour intended. e.g black pigment will become grey / dark grey.
- Green silicone catalyst is used when time is off importance, it will cure a lot quicker roughly in half the time, but this will not give as good of air release as the red fast set catalyst.
NOTE - When using clear catalyst, best to double mix the silicone and catalyst because it is very hard to see if the catalyst has fully mixed through, so a double mix is advised.
